It's the Summer of Love!

The transcriptions in the 'Highlights From the BBC Sessions' songbook are accurate, and provide an interesting array of Jimi's better known songs, covers, and blues.

Although a glaring ommission is 'Driving South' which is performed thrice on the album. However, the particularly scintillating version (Disc 1/Track 17) is transcribed in Hal Leonard's 'Radio One' guitar songbook. Other cuts in the 'Radio One' songbook omitted in the 'BBC Sessions' songbook are: 'Love or Confusion', 'Purple Haze', 'Fire', 'Foxey Lady', and 'Stone Free'.

However, the 'BBC Sessions' songbook contains many songs not in the 'Radio One' songbook: 'I Was Made to Love Her', 'Sunshine of Your Love', 'A Brand New Sound', 'Can I Please Crawl Out Your Window', and 'Jammin'. The album 'Radio One' was an earlier release of Jimi's BBC session, but not even half as extensive as the 'BBC Sessions" album.

Overall, this songbook is quite good, appealing particularly to those wanting to discover Jimi's live 'bare bones' approach, over learning about his multi-tracked and studio manipulated performances.

I highly recommend the 'Radio One' songbook, too.

Skyfall

A short story that sets up a unique dystopian world, introduces us to some interesting characters, and takes us through a few conflicts. The resolution of the main conflict in this story leaves the reader hanging a bit, as it sets up what appears to be the start of the planned sequel. All in all a fun little read.

Tom Platz is definitely ahead of everyone else in terms of intensity. I admire him for that. This book is very motivational but I feel that this book is more suited for competitive bodybuilders than beginners.

In my opinion Tom Platz Book Pro Style Bodybuilding is the best bodybuilding book you can buy.

He is excellent at explaining various training routines & his pictures are brillant!

Also shows you how to loose weight while keeping muscle tone or gaining muscle mass. Diets are excellent.

This book is outdated

The school of bodybuilding this book teaches is very outdated. Save your money! Don't buy this book. I was following the instructions in this book and I gained thirty pounds...in fat! That's right, it tells you to eat anything. You heard me, ANYTHING. In the old school way, the bodybuilder eats whatever he wants to gain mass and later on sheds off the fat through aerobic exercise. The problem with that is, during the rigorous aerobic training, much muscle mass is also lost with it. The new way of bodybuilding (which makes alot of sense) stresses to eat alot and eat LEAN while you train. It does offer some great exercises but nothing you can't get from other good weight training books.

Dr. Serban Moldoveanu is Sr. Principal Scientist at R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. His research activity is focused on various aspects of chromatography including method development for the analysis by GC/MS, HPLC, LC/MS/MS of natural products and cigarette smoke. He also performed research on pyrolysis of a variety of polymers and small molecules. He has over 100 publications in peer reviewed journals, six books published with Elsevier, five books published with other publishers, and several chapter contributions to other books. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry.

Victor David, PhD, is a Professor and Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemistry. He is the author of more than 120 publications, including 92 scientific papers in ISI international journals and 10 books and chapters in various Encyclopedias. He is also a reviewer at several international journals.

Stephen Arterburn is founder and chairman of New Life Clinics, host of the daily "New Life Live!" national radio program, creator of the Women of Faith Conferences, a nationally known speaker and licensed minister, and the best-selling author of more than two dozen books. He resides with his family in Laguna Beach, California.

Fred Stoeker is a lay minister and conference speaker who has counseled hundreds of couples in how to connect in intimate relationships with their spouses. Fred and his wife, Brenda, live in the Des Moines, Iowa area with their four children.

This is a book that could change your life!

I am a woman who is married to a man much like one of the authors (By the way, contrary to another reviewer, I would never describe them as "abusers." They simply didn't understand how much pain they were causing their wives by their actions.). I know my husband loves me deeply, but he has never really understood how to connect with me so we can enjoy the fantastic sex life he (and I) wants! This book is about mutual submission, and any husband who takes it seriously will reap rewards that he has only dreamed of. Men, your wives want what this book describes more than anything else in life. I had given up that anything like this was even possible after 20 years of marriage. For one thing, I couldn't even describe it to my husband so he understood, but these authors have been there and figured it out, and they speak to men like men. They found these answers by seriously seeking God and asking Him to show them what their marriage was really supposed to look like (after some serious problems, which almost destroyed their marriages and their wives!). If you are serious about having the most fantastic marriage that God intended for all of us, then read this book and live it like these guys are.

Best Book in "The Every Man" Series!

I started reading this book thinking it was primarily directed only to "Neanderthal" Christian men who don't have a heart or a brain when it comes to interaction with their wives! The pace does begin slowly, but in hindsight this pace would be helpful to those men who need to start at square one in their relationships. There is much here however, that will refine happily-married Christian men who have been living with contented spouses for years.
The author starts by describing how marriages grow cold. He then progresses to offer his instructions on how to return the warm glow to the grey embers. The bulk of the book focuses on the concept of being a bondservant to one's wife, both in heart and in mind. This concept really makes the book, and the author's exposition of it is well worth the purchase price. The volume concludes with a description of how submitting to one's wife, and her needs, can totally revive and rejuvenate an ailing marriage.
I recommend this book to all Christian married men, regardless of the strength or the longevity of their marriages. After all, none of us as husbands have arrived! Get it, read it, practice it, and see the difference!

Our marriage is completely transformed. It's not what he's told me but how he expresses his love to me that has changed. I feel honored, appreciated & loved ... he has made me feel precious, again.
