Don't buy this book

This book is one of the worst art books I have ever purchased. The author does not give you any art instruction about shading the head. What it is is a series of his drawings without any instruction. Just pictures without explanations. I can buy an art book that contains the portraits done by the masters, just copy them and learn the same thing. What a terrible waste of money.

The book came promptly, and, at a quick flip through, seems like it would be useful. It contains b & w sketches of heads at various, unusual angles showing shading with light at various angles. I was hoping to find a book that showed the exact same head with a variety of lighting positions so I could accurately change the lighting on my own drawings. Nevertheless, I still may be able to do this with the examples given. Although there is little instruction, I think it's a nice addition to my library.

Kai’s attack on Haven has plunged the Draak into an all-out battle for their survival, but the race of shapeshifting dragons must survive or all of Lagrangia will be lost to the evil that has steadily engulfed the land. Crys, the son of Nathaniel, has been given the gifts of the Faye and, although he doesn't fight with a sword, his fighting skills have the potential to be molded into something just as deadly.

But who will fate choose as the prophesied savior of Lagrangia? Although Onyx and Tia have been forced to witness first-hand the extent of Kai’s evil, neither can stop their hearts from loving him. If they can’t find a way to turn his back on his wicked ways, they’ll be forced to face the fact that he must be destroyed in order to save those they consider family. A perfect ending.

I have never enjoyed a book series so much. The characters come to life in the story and you find yourself cheering for them, crying with them, and arguing for them. It's a powerfully written series and the heroine is a true hero of her people. I am excited but saddened to see the series end. I bless Mrs. miller and can only hope that she will continue to share her amazing gift for weaving together amazing stories for her readers. Tianna, Nathaniel, Kai, onyx, crys, aaryn, big red and all the others will remain favorites and I will encourage everyone I know to read these books. I honestly can't wait to read what is next from Mrs. Miller.

I'm so very sad to have just read the last page of series! I like so many more wasn't ready to say goodbye... I love my book family in lagrangia very much. That is do to Paulette she is a amazing Author , she pulls you into the world and makes you fall in love with each character!! Thank for the wonderful journey :)

Fantastic Series

I fell in love with this series from the first book. Each book had me anxiously wanting more and Paulette Miller does not disappoint. Although I was sad to have the series end the way that the story evolved was amazing. I look forward to more from this author. All in all this is a fantastic read and I enjoyed it

Great practice for listening and understanding spoken Spanish (advanced beginners / intermediate )

I purchased these CD's to practice my understanding of spoken Spanish, and this product was very helpful in my practice. It is a surprisingly good storyline, that keeps you interested throughout. As an advanced beginner, I found that the speed and vocabulary were sometimes challenging, and I needed to listen to some of the passages multiple times over until I could fully comprehend all that was being said. However, this definitely helped me grow and stretch in my understanding of the spoken language. Personally, I found that the added sound effects actually helped with the understanding, giving you a bit more information about what was being said. I would highly recommend this product to those "advanced" beginners, and intermediate learners who want to practice listening to and understanding spoken Spanish.

I love these books!

I love this series of books. I'm learning Spanish on my own and these are great to read for practice and even read out loud to practice saying the words. The books are simple but not totally boring for adults. I think the authors were very thoughtful when they put this series together. The series comes with books that get progressively more difficult at the right steps for a learner who wants to read more and more. I'm not good enough to read the newspaper in Spanish, yet, so these books are great and at a good price.

Little Novells for learning in Spanish

This set of little teaching novelles in Spanish are for me, at least, most ideal. I started with the Level I booklets and stopped when the grammar needed the past tenses. I got myself a Spanish Tenses workbook and worked that 3/4 thru.There ARE plateaus and I am willing to suffer thru those. I got back to the little novelles and continued. I am now on Level III. The index words do help, but I also use my dictionary and the 501 verb conjugation book, at times to verify if the past is the 2. or 3. tense. Still a little shakey here. But I see patterns.

These little booklets are very well worth your time and money. Don't expect to have it all in super literary quality. Forget being Sherlock and looking for rhyme and reason or perfect sequencing of events. This is for teaching first, reading first and also some fun.
I really can not believe how much I learnt!!! using Marcus Santamaria's system first up to Bola de Nieve, and then getting those self-teaching workbooks for prepositions, (I thought there really were only 7.... like the Bear went over, thru, around... Oh was I in for some happy learning surprise) and the Tenses Workbook. I esp love the translations there. The answers are given.
