Helps the Pastor Keep and Maintain Focus

To be honest, when I first received the book from one of the parishioners, I started the book but did not complete it. But once the church started some transistions then I pickup up the book and could not put it down. In so many words, the book cleared your focus on being a pastor as it relates to personal relationships with God, family, and the flock. The book was also helpful because it gave us common examples with names and faces. Was not an ideology book, but one that gave strenght to the subject and made it real. Would suggest this book to a young pastor, just starting out to help get the right footing.

Good for pastors everywhere.

This book did a good job of renewing the heart for pastors in every situation. It was a great book to read starting in pastoral ministry to help frame ministry. It also helps a pastor to love the people better and adopt a "bloom where you're planted" approach to ministry that is refreshingly needed.

There are things in life that we all go through as children that can damage us for life. Overcoming these things can be a real release as an adult. This book will help you to identify the things that happened as child and the steps to overcome those things. I know I will be reading this book again and will be recommending this book to everyone I know.

Man, I enjoyed every minute with reading this book. It's really funny actually. If you ask a kid what he wants to be when he grows up, you'll hear "fireman, astronaut, basketball star." When you ask an average adult, they usually say "something that's stable; something that will help me make a living and support me and my family." Or if you ask a kid what car he wants to drive they usually say "Lamborghini! Ferrari!" Adults, "something with good gas mileage like a Honda Civic." WHERE DID THE PASSION GO? WHERE DID THE BIG THINKING GO? This book will help you stop thinking like you're not capable of achieving more. We just bs ourselves out of our true greatness. Thank you for writing this book! It was very enlightening to read! I'm looking forward to reading more from you!

I have lost track of the good and peaceful life I once have after a bad marriage. I felt like all the negative vibes has engulfed me and I thought I could never get back on my feet again. Until I grew tired of feeling miserable, I searched of ways to treat myself. I read books, a lot of them and this is one of the good ones I have laid my eyes on. It is quite short but very empowering and inspiring. I realized that I really have to love myself more than anything.

Easy to understand and loads of information.

I'm not a newbie in this area. I used to take up this subject when I was in High School. I was fairly good at it, creating simple websites that had buttons that actual work, click and send you to another site. It was a fun experience but it's just not my forte at that time. Fast forward to College (now) where I am looking for different ways on how to earn extra cash for things that I like to spend on. I remember my Computer teacher telling me one time that if I master HTML coding I can actually earn hard cash on it. That was an option I was willing to explore so here I am. The thing is it's been 2 years since then and I've forgotten the basic name and codes. It's a good thing that this book has it all. It's simple to read the words are not that deep and explains thoroughly. I also learned new things about HTML like Phrase Tags, Meta Tags and such. There's also a page for Browser Safe Colors which I know will come in handy in the web designing field.

A really helpful book. I recommend this to beginners because as I said it's thoroughly explained and you won't be left hanging in the air with this. It's organized and discussed in a spaced and well-ordered manner.

I am really wondering how websites are made. I don't have time to explore before but I am happy that I will have a time to explore that this weekend since I filed a vacation leave up to next week. My curiosity lead me in downloading this book because I feel that this one best fits beginners like me who wants to learn. My gut feel is correct, this book contains information which are really suited for newbies. The basics of making a website using HTML has been discussed clearly as well as the other factors that surrounds it. Sample codes were also given so that readers can practice it on their own. Various tips and techniques were generously provided in here. I've learned from this book.

interesting book with good advice for about finances and life

We all know PT Barnum for this circus. What we don't know is the man behind the circus. This book shares some insight into that. There is a lot more depth than you'd expect. He is more than "a sucker is born every minute" (which he didn't even say, by the way). What you get here is his philosophy of work, money, and life. Good advice you may have heard before but interesting in this concept. Like staying out of dept, for example. Over 100 years old and it still applies today. Finding your path, treating people well, etc. I got a lot more out of this than I expected and it gave me new insight as to the man PT Barnum was.

Humorous yet practical business wisdom.

Phineas Taylor Barnum (July 5, 1810 - April 7, 1891), American showman who is best remembered for his entertaining hoaxes and for founding the circus that eventually became Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

In Brooklyn, New York in 1871, he established "P.T. Barnum's Grand Traveling Museum, Menagerie, Caravan, and Circus", a traveling amalgamation of circus, menagerie and museum of "freaks", which by 1872 was billing itself as "The Greatest Show on Earth".

There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase often credited to P.T. Barnum. However, when Barnum's biographer tried to track down when Barnum had uttered this phrase, all of Barnum's friends and acquaintances told him it was out of character. Barnum's credo was more along the lines of "there's a customer born every minute" -- he wanted to find ways to draw new customers in all the time because competition was fierce and people bored easily

Barnum wrote several books, including The Humbugs of the World (1865), Struggles and Triumphs (1869), and his Autobiography (first in 1854, and later editions including 1869).

The Art of Money Getting is really the story of how to run a sales organization by understanding the mind and tastes of your primary customer base.

Barnum is a treat to read and is never boring! I highly recommend his books.

A Lifestyle Classic

A superb book and absolutely essential reading for anyone serious about making a success in business, or indeed a success in life in general. There are indeed many books about self motivation and success on the market and some are very good indeed, but this one stands out and should be a tool in every serious minded entrepreneurs arsenal. I can also recommend Napoleon Hill's classic Think and Grow Rich and anyone into sales and marketing, check out Simon Ashley Richmond's WRITE AGAIN VOL 1, not strictly a business book, but what bizarre ideas that man has for persistent sales tactics.
